Bioperine, a standardized extract from the fruit of Piper nigrum L (black pepper) or Piper longum L (long pepper). It contains 95 percent of piperine. Bioperine is used in conjunction with other herbs or vitamins to increase their absorption and digestion to make them more effective.

Caffeine may be the most popular legal addictive stimulant that is available to mankind. Besides coffee, tea, guarana and kola nut have excess amount of this xanthine alkaloid, which is actually acting as a psychoactive drug. Guggulsterone- Commiphora wightii, or the so called Guggul tree is a flowering shrub or rather a small tree which can grow up to a size of 4 meters. Once very common in India, it is now there listed as endangered, but not in northern Africa or elsewhere in central Asia. It was very popular in the Indian Ayurvedic medicine, but also currently in the western medicine for treating of heart problems. The hydrocarbon secretion of Guggul contains a plant sterol, guggulsterone, which in the human body seems to act as an antagonist to the farnesoid X receptor. Furthermore, guggulsterone is active in increasing the natural thyroid production. This in turn stimulates the metabolism and may raise the body temperature, burning stored excess fat.

Synephrine, More commonly called "bitter orange" or Citrus Aurantium, which is taken from unripe oranges. Research shows that citrus aurantium can increase the metabolic rate without affecting heart rate or blood pressure, breaks down fat, burns calories and may act as an appetite suppressant.

Yohimbe is an alkaloid and the active ingredient of a medicinal herb also known as Pausinystalia yohimbe, formerly named Corynanthe yohimbe. It is noted as a stimulant drug and also as an aphrodisiac. While the medicinal community has conducted numerous studies of yohimbe in conjunction with sexual dysfunctions, in veterinary medicine, yohimbine is employed as the antidode to anesthesia stemming from the drug xylazine in large and small animals. In recent times, yohimbine has been found to instigate fat loss in athletes when taken orally. There are also some formulations available, for a significant price, where yohimbine can be directly applied transdermally to adipose tissue, leading to a local reduction.
